Founded in 1918, the Kempsey Macleay Sub-Branch is one of the oldest in NSW.
The Sub-Branch is also home to a military museum, housing an extensive range of war and military history and memorabilia.
The Kempsey Macleay RSL Sub-branch has a collection of military and personal artefacts. The collection includes letters home, photographs, veteran’s diaries and personal items and is unique in that most artifacts relate to a service member or veteran from the Macleay Valley. This proud history extends from the Boer War to current Peace Keeping Missions and reflects the contribution of local families and the Macleay Valley community.
The branch is open Tuesdays & Thursdays, 9am - 12.30pm for the public to browse the collections.
