1939-1945 George V1 For faithful Service. King George VI created the Australia Service Medal 1939-1945 by Royal Warrant in November 1949.
British War Medal 1914-20. Instituted by King George V in 1919 to mark the end of World War I and record the service given.
The Victory Medal was authorised in 1919 to commemorate the victory of the Allied Forces over the Central Powers. The Victory Medal was awarded to prescribed classes of persons who entered a theatre of war on duty between 5 August 1914 and 11 November 1918. Australians were awarded the medal issued by Great Britain.
The Medal for Long Service and Good Conduct (Military) is a medal awarded to regular members of the armed forces. It was instituted by King George V in 1930.
The Australian Meritorious Service Medal (1903–75) was awarded to warrant officers, non-commissioned officers and other ranks who had completed 22 years meritorious service with Australian Military Forces, and who had previously received the Army Long Service and Good Conduct Medal.
