Clarence William Boddy enlisted with the AIF with the rank of 2nd Lieutenant. Clarence was promoted to Lieutenant on the 1st August 1916.
Clarence was Wounded in Action on the 30th April 1917 and reported to Hospital suffering from Shell Shock and was transferred to St Omer before he embarked for England. Clarence was admitted to Cobham Hall and upon his discharge he was promoted to the rank of Captain on the 20th July 1917 and embarked from England on the 9th October 1917 for Australia where he was discharged from the AIF.
